Privacy Policy

Skinergy ("we", "us", "our") is a personal project built to help League of Legends players explore and share their skin collections. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

By using Skinergy, you agree to this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What We Collect

Account Data

• Email address and username (provided at signup)
• Hashed password (managed by Supabase Auth — we never see or store your plain-text password)

League of Legends Data

When you use the Skinergy Uploader desktop app to sync your collection, we receive and store:

• Summoner name, tagline, and region
• Profile icon ID
• Summoner ID
• Your full list of owned skins (including acquisition date, rental status, and rarity tier)

This data is read from your local League client by the desktop app. We do not access your Riot account credentials, and the uploader does not interact with Riot's servers directly.

Social & Session Data

• Friend connections (who you've added)
• Groups you create or join (name, description, members)
• Skin matching sessions and their results
• Saved match results
• Your role and champion preferences

Automatically Collected

• IP address (used for rate limiting only, not stored persistently)
• Timestamps of actions (account creation, data syncs, session activity)

How We Use Your Data

• To display your skin collection on your profile
• To find matching skin themes between you and your friends/group members
• To power real-time skin matching sessions
• To let you compare collections with friends
• To send transactional emails (verification, password resets)

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where Your Data is Stored

• Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure
• Hosting: Vercel (web application)
• Authentication: Supabase Auth (handles passwords, sessions, and email verification)

All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Database access is secured with Row Level Security (RLS) policies so users can only access their own data.

Data Visibility

• Public: Your username, summoner name, profile icon, and skin collection (if your profile is set to public)
• Friends only: Your skin collection is visible to accepted friends and group members in sessions
• Private: Your email address, IP, and account credentials are never shared

You can control your profile visibility in your account settings.

Third-Party Data Sources

To provide skin and champion information, we use data from:

• Riot Data Dragon & CommunityDragon: Champion and skin definitions, images, and theme data (public reference data)
• Lolalytics: Champion role statistics (aggregate, non-personal data)

Deleting Your Data

You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. This permanently removes:

• Your profile and all account data
• Your skin collection data
• All friend connections
• All group memberships
• All session participation and saved matches
• All auth tokens and desktop app codes

This action is irreversible. Reference data you contributed to (e.g., session results in groups you were part of) may persist in anonymized form.

Children

Skinergy is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Skinergy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
